Entry clearance as a parent of a child in the UK

The requirements to be met for entry clearance as a parent are that 

(a) the applicant must be outside the UK;

(b) the applicant must have made a valid application for entry clearance as a parent;

(c) the applicant must not fall for refusal under any of the Suitability grounds; and

(d) the applicant must meet all of the requirements of Eligibility for entry clearance as a parent.

To meet the eligibility requirements for entry clearance as a parent all of the requirements must be met.  Eligibility requirements include Relationship requirements, Financial requirements, English language requirement. 

If the applicant meets the requirements for entry clearance as a parent, the applicant will be granted entry clearance for an initial period of up to 33 months, and subject to a condition of no recourse to public funds, and they will be eligible to apply for settlement after a continuous period of at least 60 months in the UK with leave to enter granted on the basis of such entry clearance or with limited leave to remain as a parent granted under UK Immigration Rules.
